The International EventFor three days, Cahors became the capital of Malbec. Producers from the Cahors area and from Argentina presented their wines on the historical bridge of Cahors. Authors and VIP from France and Argentina spoke about Malbec.

The Wine Spectator just published the list of its Top 100 Wines for 2008. Congratulations to Croix du Mayne 2005 of Francis Pélissié for being one of the nominees: the Cahors estate is nr. 53 with 90 points!
This exciting news confirm that Cahors wines are now recognized on the major markets. In September, Decanter Magazine in UK had already ranked an other Cahors wine, Château Pineraie, among the top best wines of the world.
The France Show in London features the French Malbec Cahors wines during their convention. There will be 6 tastings every day of 30 minutes each with 4 different wines each time. The attendance is limited to 102 people maximum for each session (registration fees).

Those questions will be answered by geographers from Europe, Australia or New Zealand, economists, experts in political sciences or marketing. Jeremy Arnaud, Marketing Director of the Professional Vintners Union of Cahors, will be moderating a session and speaking on December 5.
